Security Deposit – In addition to your payment of the price of the apartment you may be required to pay a security deposit of £250.00 (or such other amount as we may agree) against any additional expenses you may incur and any damage to the apartment suffered during your stay. The most likely expenses are telephone charges, but you may also wish to purchase some of our additional services, e.g. groceries

Cancellation Policy: within 14 days of arrival £25 administration fee will be charged. 14-0 days before arrival 14 days rent will be charged

Booking terms

Credit card details are required in order to make a reservation. All major cards are accepted, except Diners and American Express. Full payment must be received 6 weeks prior to arrival date. 3% card fee applies for rent and deposits

Deposit: 20% of the rent advance payment is charged at the time of booking is non-refundable for all cancellations

• Cancellation more than 31 days before your arrival: 20% deposit is payable/non-refundable and any remaining monies paid will be refunded.
• Cancellation between 15 and 30 days before your arrival: 50% of the balance is non-refundable and any remaining monies paid will be refunded.
• Cancellation less than 14 days before your arrival: The full balance is retained and no monies refunded.

Bank transfer: if visitors want to pay by bank transfer, please add £20.00 to cover bank charges.

Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of written confirmation and payment of either the full balance or a 20% non-refundable deposit, depending on how close to arrival the booking is made

Keys available 24 hours per day (after 2pm check-in time) at nearby office close to British Museum and full details regarding key collection are provided at time of booking.

The majority of apartments have a telephone line which calls may be received, but in order to dial out, a pre-paid telephone card is required. This can be purchased from most local newsagents

Wireless internet access is available upon request for a supplementary cost of £12.00 per device, or £3.00 per week if staying for longer than one month. Access can only be provided if a wireless network registration form is correctly completed and the relevant fee paid. The apartment provider aim to process your registration within one working day of the time of payment and receipt of completed form

Booking terms

Deposit:
Stays 1-28 nights: a valid credit card is required to guarantee a reservation
Stays 29 nights or more a deposit equivalent to 25% of the total cost of the accommodation being reserved is required. All confirmation deposits must be received at the time of booking or at least 14 days prior to arrival. If not received, the Management for the apartments reserves the right to cancel reservations without notice. Deposits may be paid by credit card upon receipt of the cardholder’s signed authority and a clearly legible copy of both sides of said card. Where a corporate or company credit card is used, the copy of said card must be presented on your company headed paper.

Cancellation Policy:

Stays of 1-6 nights: notice of cancellation is required 24 hours prior to arrival to avoid the cancellation fee of 1 night being levied

Stays of 7-28 nights: notice of cancellation is required 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid the cancellation fee of 3 nights being levied

Stays of 29 nights or more: notice of cancellation is required 14 days prior to arrival to avoid the cancellation fee of 14 nights being levied

Extensions: in all cases, notice to extend must be received 14 days prior to scheduled departure date

Booking terms

Credit card details are required in order to make a reservation and the rent is due before or on arrival and before any extension of stay

A pre-authorization of the credit card will be taken and this will be held against any damage to the apartment beyond normal wear and tear or unpaid incidentals. On move out all keys must be returned. A fee of £100 plus VAT will be charged for keys not returned within 24 hours of the move out date

Cancellation Policy: If a cancellation or amendment is made to a booking within 72 hours of the move-in date, the apartment provider will charge 100% for the cancelled nights. The cancellation notice must be in writing from Citylife Apartments and will come into effect from the date of receipt. There will be a maximum cancellation fee of the first 72 hours of the rental period or for the entire rental period if the booking is for less than 72 hours. Similarly, should a guest be required to depart earlier than the reserved departure date, 72 hours notice of the new departure date must be provided in order to avoid the cancellation policy. Any cancelled bookings that were processed by credit card will not be refunded the credit card service charge

Booking terms

The notice period required to avoid a charge for cancellation or early departure:
Up to 7 nights stay: 72 hours notice
8 to 30 nights stay: 7 days notice
31 – 42 nights stay: 14 days notice
43 nights+ stay: 21 days notice

Extension to Accommodation Period Booked

If you believe that you are likely to need to extend your accommodation period beyond the period originally booked and paid for, then you should notify us of this requirement as soon as possible. The apartment provider cannot guarantee any extension, but will try to accommodate guests provided they are informed by the following timescales:

Length of additional stay – notice required
Up to 7 nights: 72 hours notice
8 to 30 nights: 7 days notice
31 -42 nights: 14 days notice
43 nights+: 21 days notice

The company reserve the right to apply a different nightly, weekly or monthly rental rate to any extension to the accommodation period, as per Terms & Conditions of Business.
